(Verb) - to do a Finbar
A strain of Irish, and New York heritageâs cultural practice that involves a little whimsical Irish jig. The dance involves precariously hopping on one foot to the other whilst waving both arms in a frantic yet gracious manner. Hobnail boots must be worn- a feature which separates this dance from any other.
Person 1: Did you see that guy dancing in the club other there- why is he so smooth?
Person 2: Oh did you not know? Heâs doing a Finbar! How else would he move so smooth!
