Cheerleading

1) A highly debated and widely controvertial version of gymnastics - on people, not equipment.
see cheerleading for the many, many arguements and the huge amount of pride - both of cheerleaders and those against who refuse to acknowledge other's opinions.
2) American sport, generally known in England from high-school movies/TV shows and portrayed in very bad lights. Also, not available in many English schools
3) Generally all girls, but many guys cheerlead too (and they're not always gay)

person 2: OMGH cheerleedin SUCKS!!!!111oneoneeleven1one!
person 1: *insert many reasons why*
person 2: *insert equally many and valid reasons why*
both: *BICKER STUPIDLY*

2) english girl: Cheerleaders are so stupid cos I saw them in that film and they were stupid
english girl 2: yeah - I've never met one but I'm going to prejudge them on the ideas the world has imprinted on me

3) girl: why are you cheerleading? are you gay?
guy: *snogs gf* no. I LIKE CHEERLEADING.
