One of four Demosthean terms of "otherness" derived from nordic phrases. Utlanning or Otherlander refers to someone of the same species living on the same planet, just in a different region.

Military term, it stands for Active Duty for Special/Support Work. Usually referring to someone in the National Guard or Reserves being activated for a short period of time, such as a few days or weeks, for some special duty.

SPC Johnson is on ADSW orders to do some admin bitch work because all of the paperwork is screwed up.
