Framling

One of four Demosthean terms of "otherness", derived from nordic phrases. A Framling is someone of the same species, just living on another planet.

Military term, it stands for Active Duty for Special/Support Work. Usually referring to someone in the National Guard or Reserves being activated for a short period of time, such as a few days or weeks, for some special duty.
