909

Noun. (Slang) Area code in southern California for the Inland Empire. Typically refers to southern San Bernardino County and Riverside County and some portions of east Los Angeles County (i.e., San Bernardino, Riverside, Ontario, Pomona, San Dimas etc.)

I'm heading out to see my 909 buddies in Riverside and Fontana tomorrow!

Comment submitted with request to Delete: "Several of the cities named as being in eastern Los Angeles county are not in L.A. County. In fact, Riverside and San Bernardino are the county seats of Riverside County and San Bernardino County respectively."

Marching Band

If you were to draw a Venn diagram that had the following specific set circles:

"Music", "Motion", "Excellence", "Sweat", "Pride", "Spirit", "Culture", "Cult", "Community", "Art", "Education", and "Family"

the zone of common intersect would be labeled "Band".

If it was easy, everyone would be doing it.

gnarly

Extremely beautiful; heaven-like. Slang word used most often by surfers to describe the weather and beach conditions; or to describe a wave.

The surf was gnarly on Satty.
I caught a gnarly in the arvo.

drowning head

An extreme type of sinking head. VERY wide and narrow. Similar to Arnold's head on the cartoon "Hey, Arnold!" Known to drown; very dense.

"Hey, Arnold!"
"What?"
"You have a drowning head!"
"Really? Then, dump me in the river and see if I really drown!"
"Okay!"
Arnold drowns and dies, much to the dismay of Helga.
