I was recently reprimanded by an English teacher, who stated that the phrase âadjacent to the truthâ has no meaning and therefore does not exist in the English language ..!
So, does being âadjacent to the truthâ exist within the English language..?
Or, have I invented a new English phrase ..?

Yes I was guilty but only for telling the truth. In other words I was being adjacent to the truth.
