A PO is a device used to monitor the oxygen in a patient's blood. It shines light through a patient's finger, toe, nose, earlobe, or the patient's forhead, and another sensor on the other side of the light wave measures how the light is being absorbed.
1. He's on a PO machine, and they are going to have to put hom on the ventilator, because his oxygen is 85 so he is having another set of desat episodes.

Sevoflurane is an inhailed anesthetic that is used during general anesthesia, and the drug is given by an anesthesia machine.
Its a quick acting anesthetic, so usually withing the first 10 seconds of inhailation the patient is asleep, and the operating can be started.

Its where they place sick and/or premature newborns so that they can be monitored, and if necessary, cared for by nurses and Drs. and also therapists.
1. He was placed in the NICU after being born at 18 weeks, and was on a ventilator until he got to be about to his due date at which time he was given a tracheostomy.
