as a friend

Phrase used to indicate your status as unfit for more then flirting with and then laughing at your awkward advances later with your stupid ugly friends, not that I am bitter, I'm over you ... really.

Please take your tongue out of my ear I like you as a friend.

I know you just took me out to an expensive dinner, fixed my car and lent me $3000 but I like you as a friend.

lunch money

Bearing refrence to the period of adolescent age when nerds would get beat up by the bigger kid for their lunch money. Thus, lunch money as an adjective can be used to describe anything not worth your time, or done poorly.

Dude, that was a lunch money party last night.

DARPA hard

"DARPA hard" is shorthand for something considered extremely hard to achieve. The phrase comes from the US agency DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) who are often tasked with coming up with solutions to very difficult problems (e.g. coming up with stealth technology to prevent aircraft being shot down). The implication is that only resources of the scale available to DARPA's would be required to crack the problem.

Giving every soldier the ability to know the position of every other solidier on the battlefield - that's going to be DARPA hard.
