To throw, kick, or otherwise propel an object toward a destination, but to leave it woefully and embarassingly short of its intended target.

When I threw the wadded piece of paper to the trash can and only got it halfway there, my coworker wouldn't stop laughing about how I totally veached it.

I veached the putt, and left myself at least 10 more feet of green between me and the hole.
