Mog

Past tense: Mogged.
Verb: Mogging.

Meaning "Male Of Group", derived from AMOG (Alpha Male Of Group). A term formerly used by PUAs (Pick Up Artist) when explaining social dynamics to attract women, and how as a guy you want to be the most "Alpha" guy in that group.

It was then picked up by "Redpillers" (those who believe in "redpill" theories / ideas, which were much more looks focused as opposed to behavioral like it is now) as there was heavy overlap between the two groups, where new derivatives of the term were formed, such as "heightmog", which as the name suggests, refers to being the tallest guy in the group. It can be used for direct comparisons, such as a taller man "height-mogging" a short man next to him.

The term "Blackpill" was then created by people who formerly believed in "Redpill" ideas, because the "Redpill" became too focused on behaviors and didn't account for genetics enough (height, looks, frame, etc). Here it became more common to just shorten everything to "mog", "mogged" (past-tense of mog) and "mogger" (someone who mogs, usually a good looking male) without any suffix, and primarily used in comparisons about looks, but is still used in different contexts.

During 2018 to 2020, many "looksmaxing" YouTubers gained popularity spreading information that was typically relegated to "incel" and "blackpill" forums, which increased the prevalence of looksmaxing, and subsequently the spreading of "blackpill" ideas to a more mainstream audience via TikTok.
