Bompy

A drunkard, especially a sloppy one. This is a regional term that is used exclusively in Hudson County, NJ. The word may refer to the way a drunk walks, sort of "bomping" along unsteadily.Pete is such a bompy.

We watched that bompy, Rob O'Hare, fall off his bucket from the cable truck four times after he left the bar. That was his first call of the night.
