A post-colonialist mindset which makes British people mistake the global spread of their language as the global acceptance of their lifestyle.
It is a consequence of ethnocentrism: (evaluation of other cultures according to preconceptions originating in the standards and customs of one's own culture).
Example: in an international working environment, during a meeting, British native speakers explain âhow things workâ to colleagues from other countries.
British native management person: âYou should rather have answered I AM NOT SURE to our client instead of Saying noâ.
Colleague: âThank you so much for the britsplaining. The client is French and I am Turkish and we perfectly understand each otherâ.

Usually a woman (even if there have been some male cases reported) user of dating apps, that prefers collecting first dates, to have as many paid dinners as possible.
"Hey Samantha! Did you plan going out for dinner with Gordon again?"
"Of course not! He paid the bill on the first date, so the second time would be my turn. Therefore next dinner out is with Mortimer".
"you're such a dinner digger!".
