Yeet

Yeet (or Jeet) means, "Did you eat?" It's a common conjunction used in southern states.

AUNTIE: (right after you get to her house): "Yeet?"
NEPHEW (who auntie always wants to feed): "Yeah, I stopped at McDonalds.
AUNTIE: "Then, sit down and eat something healthy."

(I don't know the accent as well as hubby, so I couldn't carry it through the question and answers.
There is no other origin for Yeet (or Jeet.)

Shmirah

Shmirah is a chesed shel emet, an act of lovingkindness, which is a final act of compassion toward our departing fellow Jews and is greatly appreciated by the deceased’s family.

In Jewish tradition, volunteer Shomrim watch over the deceased from the time of death until they are buried because the neshama (soul) is believed to be present until the time of burial.

Mary has Shmirah tomorrow at the neighborhood Funeral Home. She and her friends take turns being the Shomrim.

Go Down the Rabbit Hole

In addition (or exception) to the chaos and confusion mentioned in the previous definition, there is adventure, discovery, and maybe even some excitement 'down the rabbit hole.' The unknown is 'down the rabbit hole,' and may also be present in the hallucinogenic experience mentioned in the same previous definition.

In the movie, 'The Matrix,' the pill chosen could perpetuate the myth or uncover the truth, a truth that was not as pleasurable, but was definitely exciting. Alice probably liked the fantasy her choices displayed rather than the reality exposed by a similar choice in, "The Matrix."

Alice wouldn't have chosen to go down the rabbit hole if she thought it might not be fun.
