People who say this think that by substituting the word âHomelessâ they being more compassionate when referring to bums on the street, when in fact theyâre just using a word thatâs synonymous with the one theyâre avoiding.
Person 1: The homeless people over there pitched a tent in the middle of a community park and proceeded to verbally harass passersby and defecate in the water fountain. How much longer before someone calls the po-po on their ass?
Person 2: Donât you mean unhoused folks?

When you order something online and after it arrives, you realize itâs a drop-shipped item from a discount Chinese e-commerce site (Aliexpress, Shein, Temu, etc.).
Person 1: Wow, the pair of bedazzled sandals I ordered last month on Etsy finally came in and I realized theyâre just cheap knock-offs that theyâre selling on Temu for $0.89.
Person 2: Sounds like you got drop-gypped.
