In the Bible, Jacob was Isaac's son (so Abraham's grandson), younger brother of Esau.
The Israelites/Jews came from Jacobs line, and the Arabs came from Esau's line.
Sometimes the Bible refers to Israel as "Jacob" since all Israelites came from Jacob.
The Lord told Jacobs mother, while she was pregnant, that the nations that came from each son, would always be in conflict with eachother.
They are still in conflict today!
To me, thats proof.
Genesis chapter 25 verse 23 says: "The Lord said to her,
âTwo nations are in your womb,
and two peoples from within you will be separated;
one people will be stronger than the other,
and the older will serve the younger.â"
Genesis Chapter 32 verse 28 says: "Then the man said,
âYour name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.â"
