A word used about 150 years ago as a racist slur or term specifically for African American People Now in days its offending African Americans because it is a term that represents HATE, RACISM, AND more but African Americans turned the word into a slang word for other African Americans that is not racist if a African American is saying it.

WRONG: ew, i hate those niggers their gonna ruin it all
CORRECT: yeah, that nigga was there for me through every thing.
