Out in the sticks

A phrase used to describe a location out in the middle of nowhere, usually far out in the country or outskirts of a city

Drake: I should've put you somewhere where no one could find you. Mansion out in the sticks with nothin' around you. Katy, Texas, Dallas, Texas, you know, a different environment.

Oh you from Missouri? You must be livin out in the sticks.
