LOBD

The Law of Bourbon Dynamics (LOBD) states that a bourbon collection will continue to grow at a constant rate provided there is a consistent source of funds and adequate space. This collection will eventually outgrow the lifetime drinking-capabilities of it's curator alone unless consumption can be spread across multiple participants. The Law of Bourbon Dynamics also applies to the gratuitous amassing of any style of American whiskey with the name of the spirit referenced in the law changing as appropriate (see also the Law of Rye Dynamics, the Law of Malt Dynamics, and Jack's Law - which specifically covers the collecting of Jack Daniels whiskies and memorabilia/branded goods).

That's it, I'm not buying any more bourbon until I've finished off some open bottles and have made some space!"
