Whip

A whip when referencing a British member of parliament refers to someone who is appointed by their party to make sure that the other members of the party are voting correctly and acting in line with the party.

"The government chief whip has absolutely no business shouting from a sedentary position, ORDER!!!, the honourable gentleman will remain in the chamber!
