Zaret's Trick is a philosophical adage or maxim coined by Tony Zaret that provides an alternative definition of satire: "Satire is a kind of humor that's not funny."

Person A: "Hey, Person B, what is satire?"
Person B (who is enlightened by Zaret's Trick): "Satire is a kind of humor that's not funny."
