A term and lifestyle originally used by a group of reasonably sensible people who saw what drugs/alcohol/casual sex can do to ruin peoples lives and decided to abstain from these activities.
Since then, it has become incredibly popular with young people who are too ignorant/scared to try new things and wanted an excuse not to.
Minor Threat: "We do not want to destroy our bodies/morals, we will be sXe"
Kid: "I'm too scared to try these new things, if I become sXe, I will not look like such a pussy and may even look like a very sensible person"

Legendary bass 'player' with the Sex Pistols. Couldnt play bass (slight drawback) Had a notorious violent streak. Blinded a girl (another punk band members girlfriend I believe) when he threw a glass at the the Damned as they were playing.
Also played drums for Siouxsie and the Banshees.

A brilliant punk rock band with dark and often emotional lyrics. Often called 'emo'. Emo is hard to define and predominantly shit (thanks for that one MTV) these days.

One day, in the late-mid 70s, God decided that he had given the 20th century enough shit with 2 world wars and so he made it up by inventing Punk rock. Sadly, one of the first, and most famous bands (The Sex Pistols), were acting like complete dicks (who happend to amke brilliant yet simple music). God decided to take things into his own hands and created The Clash. This band were the greatest band of the time and are most probably the greatest band ever. The trancended the punk lebel and fused their music with jazz, dub,rap and regae, but never failed to make their music brilliant.
If The Clash weren't gods themselves, they were certainly blessed by the Almighty One.
Singer Joe Strummer died just before Christmas 2002. His final album was almost complete, it was released the next year and is absoultely brilliant. It is called Streetcore and is on hellcat records.
