Publicly name dropping yourself in order to gain additional clout.

I’m so desperate for instafame, I started clout dropping myself in my Yelp reviews by adding my own Instagram handle in them.

Clout

Having superficial influence and power, primarily online. Thought to matter more in the real world than it actually does, but still v. useful for those thirsty for social media fame.

Karen has zero clout on TikTok

Clout Chaser

Those who are not only thirsty for the clout, but will go to any lengths necessary in order to achieve it.

Karen is such a clout chaser, she drove 7 hours one way just to take a photo of her ass in a hot spring and post it on Instagram.

The male counterpart of a Kathy. If you don’t know what that means, then you probably are a Kevin.

Kevin just publicly called out someone on Instagram for not offsetting their carbon emissions on their last flight smh.

When you get called out - or call out someone for - thirsty af clout chasing behavior.

I clout checked him for shouting himself out in his own Instagram story.
