Medium whack (and other variations) is used to describe something as being whack, but to also to emphasize a lack of interest in the subject. So, itâs essentially the same thing as âwhackâ, but you add the âmediumâ part to 1.) Be redundant for no reason and 2.) Indicate feelings of indifference towards the subject, i.e. âItâs whack and Iâm already bored of talking about itâ.
Example: âHow was the bar last night?â âMedium whack, dude. Way too many hipsters dancing to weird music. I shouldâve stayed home and watched Netflix.â
Other potential usesâ¦
Medium Funny: âHow was âThe Hangover 2â?â, âI guess it was medium funny.â
Medium Cool: âHow was the party in uptown?â, âIt was medium cool, I guessâ¦â
Throwing it back is whenever you ask someone a question, and they (annoyingly) ask you the same exact question in return.
These are all examples of "throwing it back":
âWhat are you talking about?ââ¦âWhat are YOU talking about?â
âWhat are you thinking?â ⦠âWhat are YOU thinking?â
âWhere have you been?ââ¦âWhere have YOU been?â
Whenever this happens, my brain starts to hut and I feel like Iâm doing some kind of Abbott and Costello routine. Obviously, when I say, âWhat do you mean?â â I mean âCan you explain yourself further?â So, whenever someone returns my âWhat do you mean?â with another âWhat do YOU mean?â I shut it down and say nope â you canât just throw it back. And it stops the madness from ensuing.
