This acronym comes from Britney Spears' little sister's name, Jamie Lynn Spears, whom had premature sexual intercourse and ended up pregnant at 16 years (she is best known for her lead role as Zoey in Nickelodeon's Zoey 101). This is a variation of lol that is directed at other people's misfortunes.

Person A: Hey, remember when we had to read about that Jonestown Cult article for History class?
Person B: Oh yeah! And Jones made his 900 followers drink that vat of Flavor-Aid and they all died? Epic JLS!!
