Slang or a nickname commonly used to refer the a breed of cats known formally as exotic shorthair cats. The sound appears in the first part of the word exotic. Ex- ZOT-ic

Zots are very extremely peak faced cats similar to Persians with a shorter coat. Using zot to describe these cats is similar to calling a Himalayan cat a Himi.

My zot is registered with the CFA.
