druglust

Craving for drugs in general (by analogy with bloodlust). This is distinct from an addict in withdrawal, or someone jonsing for their drug of choice. It typically implies a self-destructive desire to engage in poly-drug abuse (think "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas").

A: B, wanna come over and hang out with us on saturday? I scored a ball of good coke, some dodgy fake ketamine, oxy, and some primo hash - sunset to sunrise baby
B: Woah, what's the occasion?

A: Nothing special, just general druglust.
B: Word, count me in, I'll bring some molly and this baggie of unidentified white powder
A: Perfect!

alphabet soup

Exotic recreational drugs known by letter abbreviations, particularly in combination. Generally used as a derogatory term by people who do not partake in such things, and/or a descriptive term when everyone in a group of people at a party is on something different.

A: What the hell are you guys on?!

B: Well joe and sally are on tripping 2C-B, mary is on MBDB and MDAI, the people fucking in the corner are on 4-MMC and...
A: Got it, alphabet soup - I'm gonna do some good old fashioned cocaine here and smoke a joint if anyone wants to join me...

soft brick

When a phone or other electronic device is rendered entirely unusable ("bricked", ie, the device has the functionality of a brick), but in a non-permanent way, such that with the correct tools and techniques, it can be revived. Contrast with "hard brick" where the device is well and truly useless. The process of unbricking it may still be enough work that one may choose to just get a new one (depending on how expensive it is to replace).

Generally implies that the damage is done to the firmware or software, not the hardware - a phone that was dunked in a fishtank might well be destroyed, but one wouldn't call that "bricked"

"Hey, what happened, I thought you bricked your phone trying to root it the other day - did you get a new one?"

"Oh no, it was just a soft brick. It took me hours to figure out how, but I was able to get it to boot last night and reinstalled android. Lost all my contacts though, and it's still not rooted..."
