Trepibabble – n. A type of procrastination which involves engaging in small-talk in an attempt to stave off receiving potentially life-altering information.

Example:

You: “Hi Doc. How're you doin'?”
Doc: “Oh fine.”
You: “The weather's great today – they say we'll be having a bit of rain this Wednesday.”
Doc: “You never can tell.”
You: “I suppose you're keeping busy with this COVID situation.”
Doc: “Oh yes – very busy. Now, regarding your brain scan . . .”

Jim nervously engaged in a brief bout of trepibabble with the doctor before receiving a dire diagnosis.

Huntington's Dilemma

A choice with two possible outcomes - one leading to anguish and the other leading to elation.

Charlie faced a Huntington's Dilemma as he dreaded opening the envelope containing the results of his AIDS test.

soapmash

"Soapmash" can used used as either a noun or a verb. The noun form would be: A larger piece of bath soap formed as a result of squishing smaller slivers of used soap onto a fresh bar of soap.

The verb form would be: The action of squishing smaller bits of used bar soap onto a fresh bar of soap forming a single, consolidated bar of soap.

While in the shower, Grandpa—the frugal German that he was—would soapmash little pieces of used soap onto a fresh bar of Dial as to not be wasteful.
