When a friend is watching a live, pause-able sporting event in a separate location and says he has to pause said event, you must respect the pause and not spoil what has happened until he has confirmed seeing it.

Brad: Dude, did you see that touchdown, that shit was crazy!

Mike: What the fuck asshole, I'm driving home from the store! Respect the pause, man!!!

A label put on a woman who has sex to shame her and prevent other women like her from desiring sex, as a means of control over women.

Ironic as it's counter-productive to getting women to have sex with those men who enjoy the practice.
