pun-run

A string of (often loosely) connected puns, the goal of which is to keep anyone willing to listen to such wordplay laughing for as long as possible. Usually these joke trains conclude with an absolutely horrible punchline.

The following example is a typical pun-run:

A: A return-to-sender bender

Q: What do you call it when a crossdresser gets in a car accident?
A: A gender-bender

Q: What do you call it when a meat truck gets in a car accident?
A: A tender-bender
