A defunct social media platform. Users would write a text biography, provide a single image of themselves, their age and location, and hit the "flork" button to be presented with another user to message, one at a time, chosen completely at random. The network was extremely diverse in the people that used it, with seemingly all ages, locations, ethnicities, and so on, evenly represented. Correspondence was asynchronous and brought people together to talk about just about anything and everything.
I met a very cool woman on Flork. She was a completely different kind of person to the previous one and the one after them - in interests, age, culture, the lot! Flork is a truly unique social media experience.
