A small village in Scotland at Loch Lomond. Due to Balmaha being at Loch Lomond, it is popular with tourists and is not too far from Glasgow. There is a water bus at Balmaha that goes to Luss and Balloch. The village has an inn, a shop and a visitor centre for Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. You can also rent a cottage here.
Have you ever been to Balmaha? I had a great dinner there. Maybe one day you should go.

An area of Bishopbriggs in Scotland that was formerly its own village until it was subsumed into Bishopbriggs like how Auchinairn was.
The area has a retail park called Strathkelvin Retail Park. There are many shops and restaurants in the retail park, such as a B&Q, a Home Bargains, and a Burger King. There is also a prison called HM Prison Low Moss, for low-category prisoners. It opened in 1968 and closed from 2007-2012. After its 5 year closure, it reopened. Cadder also has a large cemetery, for all the many people that have died.
My friend was arrested in Cadder the other day. Make sure you don't get arrested too!

Most villages have a church, a school or nursery, and a shop. If the village does not have at least one of these features, it would usually be classed as a hamlet.
A lot of villages are rural or semi-rural. However, some villages may be directly joined onto a town or city, thus classing it as a suburb.
Luss is a small village in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It has a church, a small primary school, and a couple of restaurants and shops.
