Covers Are Still Warm

(1.) A polite way of saying the person has only just left his/her bed.

(2.) The person recently died, and the recipients of the will want their estate immediately.

Mr. Lockley: I'm terribly sorry about your aunt Jane, Jim...

Jim: Thank you, Mr. Lockley. So then, do you know whenabouts I can expect my lump-sum payment of the will?

Mrs. Lockley: For heaven's sakes Jim. The covers are still warm!

Jittle

A variation on the word "jiggle". To jittle is to move an object (either real or conceptual) only very slightly, as to allow for greater mobility.

George: Let me jittle some things around in my schedule and then I can go to the concert.

Dee: Great! Hey, Is jittle even a word?

Obamarism (noun): The actions and mannerisms characteristic of former President Barack Obama, particularly during his public life and presidency. This term can describe anyone emulating his distinctive style of speech and body language.

Example: “Vice President Kamala Harris exhibited several Obamarisms during her campaign speeches in 2024.”
