cleggie

Cleethorpes, also poss. someone from Cleethorpes although more usu. Meggie.

This is also the possible origin of usage, esp. by people from South Yorkshire, as a general pejorative adjective when describing a person and also as a verb meaning 'to steal'

"You off down Cleggies tonight?"
South Yorkshire usage: "He fucking cleggied me glasses the fucking dick'ed!"
