This term refers to shape shifting. Apollo was a famous shape shifter appearing as a dolphin or a python. Used in reference to someone who is predictably mellow but can kick wolverine booty when agitated.

Completing the triad initiated by " esoteric and exoteric " , endoteric is that knowing within one's self that may or may not be possible to put to words. This inner gnosis can be spontaneous or can be a product of effort in the vein of meditative/ contemplative discipline and application. Similar to the idea of " gut feeling ", yet with a certainty that transcends even this most persuasive of experience.
