A person who has recently started smoking marijuana for the first time.

One who is unaware of the effects of marijuana.

New Smoker: "I've been smoking this joint and I'm not high!"
Experienced Smoker: "Patience, young potawan, your high will come."

Potawan: "I liked that joint, so when my friend offered me a brownie I happily accepted, but it's been an hour and I don't feel anything!"
Experienced Smoker: "You poor potawan, you have no idea what you're in for..."

Buttlung

1. The uncomfortable feeling one gets in their lungs after smoking too many cigarettes.

2. A pejorative term for smokers.

1. "Man, I smoked a whole pack yesterday. I've got the buttlung bad today!"
