England/Scotland border county to the North of Newcastle Upon Tyne, and to the East of Cumbria. Being a border county it has seen its fair share of battles and is steeped in history. Plenty of castles and Stately houses and even The Roman Wall. Beautiful rolling hills, rivers, trees and majestic beaches in the summer. Bleak as fuck in the winter, which is most of the time.
