1. The idea that people consciously make decisions with their i. One of many problems with this double-noun sequence is that it contradicts itself. Something "willed" is completely controlled. Something "free" is completely uncontrolled.
2. "Free" is a verb in this def. It is the separation of ego from presence/consciousness/that which is being. In other words, it is halting the human sense of control. This event ends all acknowledgement of secular reality, even thoughts, revealing the ultimate euphoric existence, atman, heaven, soul, anatta, etc. It can be done. It can be undone.

1b. Rejected by most religion and proven false by science, now how often do these two parties agree on something?????
2. Give it a try...its only salvation. Free will, yes free that will. No past, no future, only present. Yes present, not absent.
