Transactor

A module used for enhancing signal being received by an amplifier from an instrument, such as a guitar or electronic drums; Enhancement for Hi-Def Speakers or high quality studio monitors.

The level of transacting is measured by degrees. Guitars can usually range from 80-120 degrees, electronic drums can get from 40 to 160 degrees. Microphones only get up to approximately 20 or sometimes 25 degrees of transacting; this is because the signals of vocal do not vary dynamically and changes in frequency aren't so drastic so a high level transactor is unnecessary.
