The action of shooting down an enemy aircraft with an unguided rocket.
History: The term âZookâ is derived from âBazookaâ - an unguided rocket launcher in âBattlefield 1942â. In that game, infantry only had one option to kill planes - the unguided rocket launchers, as there were no lock-on missiles in World War II. There are many variations of the Zook, such as Rendezook, Loopzook, Bailzook, Rodeozook, Podzook, Surfzook, and more.
Squadmate: âThis Jet is becoming a massive problem! He needs to be downed!â
You: âNo problem, Iâll try to Zook him.â
