Garfield

One of the worst comics in the newspaper, second only to The Family Circus. The setting always consists of the same countertop, and involves Garfield eating food or smacking a spider with a rolled up newspaper.

Shit like Garfield is adored by the masses, while The Boondocks is yanked from papers because it might offend some white people.

popped collar

The act of popping up the collar of a polo shirt, so it covers the neck.

Twenty years ago kids in ghetto wore their collars popped, now it is a trend among frat boys and preps.

A common look for the frat boy is to wear a pink polo shirt with the collar popped. The pink shirt fools sorostitutes into thinking that frat boy is comfortable with his sexuality, when in reality, every sixth word out of his mouth is faggot.

And here we see a fine specimen of prep. Note the sandles with socks, meticulously groomed hair, and popped collar.

camwhore

Someone, usually female, and often of the scene, emo, or goth "subculture" who enjoys taking countless pictures of their heavily made-up selves and posting them online. Camwhores usually post their pictures on myspace, less often on livejournal and xanga, and sometimes even on our very own Urban Dictionary, out of a desire for attention and to show off their low-cut t-shirts and pale, underdeveloped boobies under poor lighting.

There are four types of pictures that the camwhore takes of herself:

1. The "Emo" picture-Common on livejournal and Urban Dictionary images for emo. Showing 3/4 of the face, camera held high, and looking down. Sullen expression a must. Usually taken in black and white.

2. The "Oops, I did it again"-Often used by scene girls on their myspace, the "Oops I did it again" is an attempt to seem coy or playful. Taken from the front, hand over mouth, eyes pointed up and to the side.

3. The "tuff" pic-Favored by ugly hardcore girls on their myspace profile. Another 3/4 view, this one is taken at eye level. Beady eyes and an angry expression shows just how xxHARDxCORExx the "tuff" girl is.

4. The "Happy Little Fairy"-Another common Livejournal pic, this one is favored by underage cutesy girls. Taken with the photographer lying on her back, camera pointed down at her face, wearing a dreamy, shit-eating gaze.

No, xxcryingxonethousandxtearsxx, I will not accept you as my friend. I dont even know you, you stupid camwhore.

swastika

As any know-it-all 15 year old will tell you, the swastika was originally an anicent Hindu symbol of good fortune and prosperity. However, it was used reletivly recently by the nazis and is still used by various hate groups. One would have to be very foolish to use the swastika with the anicient connotations. Would you wear a swastika armband to wish everyone else good luck?

"Intellectual" 15 year old-I have a swastika drawn on my comp book because it used to be an ancient symbol of good stuff.

Senseable Person-But now its a symbol of the Nazis, racism, and bigotry, and is offensive to millions around the world. Besides, its not like the swastika has had its meaning "reclaimed". Get rid of it before people think that you are actually a Nazi.
.
.
.
Think of it this way: Cadillacs used to be symbols of youth and wealth. Now they are symbols of old age. Does driving a Caddy make people think that you are young and rich? No, usually people see a Caddy and imagine that some old person is driving it. Same basic idea.

bc

Boston College

Is not a college, nor is it in Boston. It is a university and it is in Chestnut Hill.

After BC beat Notre Dame, there was a riot.

Beastly

1. When refering to a female, beastly means she is just that. A beast you would not want to go anywhere near.

2. When referring to anything else, it simply means large or impressive.

1. I would not go near that beastly she-bitch, not even to talk to her hot friend!

2. That is one beastly truck you have there.
