Phil

A dad. Most likely divorced with seven or more children. You can find him on the golf course or behind a poker table. Tells dad jokes like no other and has all the best dance moves. Has his own catchphrase: “fuck me right.” He spends a lot of time watching sports in his recliner. Will spend hours teaching his kids about self defense and boat motors. Wears dad hats and always has to be in charge, especially while driving. Probably has a red bull addiction from lack of sleep. Tends to attract more deer than women.

“That guy over there has a real nice golf swing!”
“Yeah he’s a real Phil!”

obsession

An almost insane desire, longing, or burning lust for someone or something. You feel like without that thing or person, you are not complete and can't cope, or- in extreme circumstances- live, unless you have the object you desire.

Getting back with my ex-boyfriend has become such an obsession for me that I lose sleep trying to think of ways to lure him back into my arms.

sprung

Often confused with obsession, this is a state of being beyond obsession: this is pure, unadulturated desire. When sprung, you often lose sleep thinking about the person, longing for his touch, his body, his scent. You know that he doesn't want you anymore, but the slightest chance that he MIGHT someday want you, keeps you crawling back to him.
It is a step short of demonic possession.

"And why am I still lying here in the bed were you stayed for four days, inhaling your cologne, wrapping myself in the sheets that caressed your body, longing for your presence?
Because I’m sprung, that’s why.
Desperately fallen. Enraptured by your unattainable beauty. You are my last desire and I feel like I must drink of you or die."- from an essay called Sprung
