Crunk

Crunk goes back at least to the 70's. Probably earlier. Its current use is quite different than it was then. But not completely unrelated if you think about it. In the 70's when I first heard it Crunk was an ebonics version of Crank or Start. Especially in reference to starting a car or other motorized equipment.

Crunk's counterpart then was Uncrunk.

He crunk up his car to let it warm up. But it come uncrunk when he went back in the house.
