hipster

usually someone in college or fresh out of college until about their late twenties who enjoys indie music, a good cup of coffee or tea, grocery shopping at an organic store and vintage clothe shopping. also enjoys local acoustic band shows, and enjoys indie flicks or foreign films with subtitles. they are snobbish about their music and political affiliations, and enjoy reading books.they enjoy traveling and culture in general.

someone who dresses 1/2 euro trendy with and attitude of "i still like to read". they don't label themselves as hipsters, yet some claim instead to be "ecclectic"

ecclectic

the less evident form of a hipster. They hold characteristics of a hipster, such as going to cafes and bookstores. they also enjoy vintage shopping, indie and foreign films. their taste in music usually reflects that of a hipster, and is usually more along the lines of indie rock. ecclectics care about how they look, but they also like to look as if they like to read too. they, in a large part, appreciate cultural events and lifestyles. they are the less extreme form of a hipster, and are very chill people who enjoy to discuss politics or music in general with a group of their friends over a good cup of coffee or tea. they are usually in college or straight out of college until about their late twenties. they don't go to just any music show in general, such as that of a scene kid, but rather they prefer a more chilled, laid back enviroment that usually varies between coffee shops, bookstores, flea markets, vintage shops, and local concert venues. For the girls, the makeup is not extreme, but tends to be more natural, and the boys usually wear tighter jeans. the boys and girls alike wear more earthy tones altogether and do not label themselves as hipsters, emo, scene, prep, or indie. but unbeknowingly, they might be a mix of all of the above.

the ecclectic kid grabbed the newest indie album before heading over to the small coffee shop to meet up with some friends fromt the vintage store.
