An American law student who thinks all distinguished foreign born law professors must speak with an American accent.
During a lecture on contract law the American law student tossed his notes into the air complaining that he could not understand what was being said. After all, the professor did not sound like his mommy, or Dorothy from the "Wizard Of OZ", or the woman who took his coat at the country club. He wanted to know why the professor spoke English without sounding like an American. He also secretly did not like the University hiring women professors with or without a last name he could not pronounce. The rest of the students saw him as a bigot, sexist and idiot extraordinaire; one destined to live a life of pro bono. For their ears were attuned to understand the many accents, nuances and dialects of the American way. Later, this ordinary skill will contribute to their getting hired at a prestigious law firm or becoming a clerk at a Supreme Court.
