A rural town nestled in the back country of San Diego. It borders Riverside county line alongside Aguanga-Anza & Temecula being the closest city for shopping necessities & services. There is also a small community of families, farmers/ranchers & an senior citizen mobile home community.
There used to be a somewhat flourishing golf resort with restaurant & convenience mart all closed down (except convenience store) since the pandemic leaving no choices on where to eat unless you drive back to Temecula or towards Julian. A bunch of wineries and a bar exist only open on the weekends and 2-3 restaurants along the road that are limited & saturated by locals best bet is to go back to Temecula for quality food that wonât break your wallet.
The area is predominantly White, with few minorities being Hispanic & Native Americans (surrounded by reservations), among very few others.
That said, itâs far away from civilization and folks are either friendly or not. Honestly needs a lot more diversity, unless you donât mind the unbidden prejudice, especially by the oldest folks who havenât a clue on how to be a good human. (Hide using Christianity as scapegoat)

Menifee is somewhat fairly new city in California. Basically a city Murrieta nor Perris wanted to claim (rural in some parts, newer homes being built & shopping slowly developing. Everyone lives out here is mostly from LA or San Diego, maybe some OC squeezed in. Donât move here if youâre trying to get away from the big city, congestion, rudeness/bad manners & sh#%ty drivers, they are all out here.
Old people want out because itâs now filled w/ young people with babies & a gang of kids. Houses are smaller & no yards. Apartments are few - some newer complexes. Either way, the cheap rent is no more as the going rate is no lower than $1600k, mostly 55+ & higher for all ages under 55. All families with small children. People out here are either stuck up wannabes & Karenâs/ Kenâs (assholes, itâs all the same, they canât have the last word & canât say anything nice (ie NextDoor app or FB city pages) almost everyone is inept posting.
And apartments throw parties in their driveway parking lot or if they have a garage- which serves as their personal junk storage, dirty man cave/she sheds or den/party room, as people are crammed into table rentals w/cheap 99c decorations, jumpers, bbq, dj & kegs- basically the trailer park experience that is common in Riverside/San Bernardino areas. There are better cities to move to like Murrieta or Temecula even though they too are crowded AF.
Menifee sucks ass & so do the people- Kinda like Fontana before it blew up.
