Umbrella term for headphones and earphones. Basically something you plug into an ipod and hear music out of.

Also head+ear=hear

Without Hearphones:
Teacher: Take your headphones out.
Student: I don't have any on.
Teacher: Yes you do! *grabs earphones*
Students: OOOH! you mean my earphones? (insert trollface)
With Hearphones:
Teacher: Take your hearphones out.
Student: I don't... oh wait.
