Originating from 18th century Spain, it was a term used to describe a man with an insatiable lust for obese prostitutes. As records indicate, there was in fact a man named Manuel Segoviano DeGuzman, a vagabond wharf-poet that was often ridiculed for his tastes in women.
After a few strong drinks, our friend George would transform into a completely different person; a salivating DeGuzman. His eyes would glaze over, his speech would get raspy, and he would quickly find an exit to the streets in search of burlesque ladies of leisure.
