Guys

Used by Gen Z in public conversation to virtue-signal their submission to whatever they think people want to be addressed as; a catch-all.

If said by a sit down fast-food waitress with nose-piercing and blue hair, “Are you guys OK” means, “don’t forget to leave me a tip”.

If said by a universal congregational minister, “I pronounce you guys man & wife”, it means that he /they/she/zhe is being non-judgmental.
