To make a product "hipster" is to remove a it from its origin, make up a story that you want people to believe about it (in regards to its source, the inspiration for the company), package it nicely and put it in a minimalist shop, and then charge people a lot of money for it so they think its special/new/different

This coffee shop is so hipster.

This restaurant tries to make Chinese food "hipster."
