Someone you see on the road hawking food/items (selling stuff wile walking o the road basically) like groundnut (peanuts), chi chin, puff puff and chewing gum etc

Can also be used and as insult to call someone 'local' or 'bush'

Example 1: 'Abeg, Seyi call that malam there, the one with plantain chips'

Example 2: 'Please Samara, stop actingmlike such a malam'
