It's a Afro-Brazilian religion. It is a religion that mixes African and catholic beliefs, created by slaves at the time of brazilian slavery. Its place of origin is in the territory where the municipality of São Gonçalo exists, in the states of Rio de Janeiro.
With orishas tradition ("orixás" in brazil) and spirits of indigenous origin.
Many prejudiced people say that it is a satanic religion, that is a lie, whoever says that has never researched this religion

[Mandrake]

First of all it is Brazilian slang. means someone who wears expensive clothes, is from the favelas, ghetto or hood, or is involved in robbery. It's used for men and women.
